Cleveland-On July 17, Lake Erie Productions presents Erieparty 99, a dance with proceeds benefiting AmFAR and the Open House, a Cleveland HIV and AIDS organization.
DJ Susan Morabito will be spinning at this intimate party-only 450 tickets will be sold. Morabito is one of only a few lesbian women DJs working in the heavily male-dominated world of gay clubs and circuit parties. She got her start in Cleveland, spinning at the now-defunct lesbian bar Isis and the predominately gay men's club Chaps, which is also a fond distant memory.
Last year's Erieparty 98 sold out quickly, so purchasing tickets early is recommended. Code Blue night club, at 1946 St. Clair Ave. in Cleveland, will be the host club for Erieparty 99. Doors open at 10:00 p.m.
The following day, on Sunday July 18th, the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland's "Dancin' in the Streets" benefit will be taking place, with DJ Julian Marsh spinning from 5 to 10 pm.
Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, $50 VIP, and $35 for both Erieparty and Dancin'. Advance tickets are available through Box Office Tickets, 800-494-8497. Box Office is giving a discount if tickets for both events are purchased. Tickets are also available at the Clifton Web, 11512 Clifton Blvd., Cleveland, 216-961-1120.
While no special hotel arrangements have

been made, accommodations close to both the Erieparty and Dancin' are available at Wyndham Cleveland Hotel at Playhouse Square, 1260 Euclid Avenue, 216-615-7500; Embassy Suites, 1701 East 12th Street, 216523-8000; or the Marriott Society Center, 127 Public Square (one block from Dancin'), 216-696-9200.
